[ PROCLAMATION NO. 1265, May 21, 2026 ]
AMENDING PROCLAMATION NO. 47 (S. 2001)
WHEREAS, Proclamation No. 47 (s. 2001) declared the period from 04 to 11 June of every year as "Judiciary Week" in recognition of the founding anniversary of the Supreme Court on 11 June 1901, and to highlight the vital role of the Judiciary in upholding the rule of law and ensuring the effective administration of justice;
WHEREAS, there is a need to further strengthen public awareness and appreciation of the Judiciary as a pillar of democratic governance by providing a longer period for the conduct of programs and activities that promote judicial integrity, independence, accountability, and efficiency;
WHEREAS, extending the observance to the entire month of June will allow the Judiciary will allow the Judiciary greater flexibility in organizing activities and will enable wider participation from stakeholders while ensuring that the celebration remains anchored on the founding anniversary of the Supreme Court; and
WHEREAS, Section 17, Article VII of the Constitution vests in the President the power of control over all the Executive departments, bureaus and offices and the mandate to ensure the faithful execution of laws;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND R. MARCOS, JR., Preside of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution and existing laws, do hereby declare the month of June of every year as the "Judiciary Month."
All agencies and instrumentalities of the National Government, including government-owned or -controlled corporations and state universities and colleges, are hereby directed, and all local government units, non-government organizations, and the private sector are hereby encouraged, to actively participate and render the necessary support and assistance for the effective implementation of this Proclamation.
Proclamation No. 47 (s. 2001) is hereby amended. All other issuances, orders, rules and regulations, or parts thereof that are inconsistent with this Proclamation, are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.ℒαwρhi৷
