DECLARING MONDAY, 24 AUGUST 2020, A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF DAVAO

WHEREAS, the City of Davao observes the weeklong celebration of the Kadayawan Festival in the month of August;

WHEREAS, to enable the people of the City of Davao to celebrate the occasion, the Sangguniang Panlungsod requested that 24 August 2020, Monday, be declared a special (non-working) day in celebration of the Araw ng Pasasalamat in relation to the indigenous Peoples Day; and

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Davao be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies, subject to community quarantine, social distancing, and other public health measures;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, SALVADOR C. MEDlALDEA, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE, do hereby declare 24 August 2020 (Monday), a special (non-working) day in the City of Davao.
