DECLARING THE YEAR 2018 AS THE "YEAR FOR THE CELEBRATION OF THE CENTENNIAL ANNIVERSARY OF THE UPSILON SIGMA PHI"

WHEREAS, the Upsilon Sigma Phi was established on 18 November 1918 in the University of the Philippines, Manila;

WHEREAS, the Upsilon Sigma Phi marks the entire year of 2018 as the period of celebrating its centennial anniversary; and

WHEREAS, the government recognizes the Upsilon Sigma Phi for its significant contributions to numerous civic and humanitarian causes, as well as the dedication and commitment of its members to public service and nation-building;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution and existing laws, do hereby declare the year 2018 as the "Year for the Celebration of the Centennial Anniversary of the Upsilon Sigma Phi."
