DECLARING THURSDAY, 20 SEPTEMBER 2012, AS A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF ILOCOS NORTE

WHEREAS, Josefa Llanes Escoda was a World War II Heroine and the Founder of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines;

WHEREAS, the Province of Ilocos Norte marks the commemoration of the birth anniversary of Josefa Llanes Escoda on Thursday, 20 September 2012;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Province of Ilocos Norte be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.ℒαwρhi৷

NOW, THEREFORE, I, PAQUITO N. OCHOA, JR., Executive Secretary, by authority of His Excellency, BENIGNO S. AQUINO, III, do hereby declare Thursday, 20 September 2012, as a special (non-working) day in the Province of Ilocos Norte.
