DECLARING MONDAY, MARCH 3, 2008, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF LA UNION

WHEREAS, March 2, 2008, marks the 158th Foundation Day anniversary of the Province of La Union which falls on a Sunday;

WHEREAS, to enable the people of the Province of La Union celebrate the occasion, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of La Union requested that Monday, March 3, 2008 be declared as a special (non-working) day instead;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Province of La Union be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Monday, March 3, 2008, as special (non-working) day in the Province of La Union.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
