DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM MARCH 6 TO 10, 2006 AS PURCHASING AND SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT WEEK

WHEREAS, the Philippine Institute for Supply Management (PSIM), is a non-stock, non-profit organization of purchasing and materials managers of the countrys top corporations;

WHEREAS, purchasing and materials managers and PSIM help upgrade the quality and competitiveness of Philippine goods and services for both the domestic and foreign markets;

WHEREAS, it is desirable that the important role played by the purchasing and materials managers in commerce and industry be brought to the attention of the people;

WHEREAS, the PSIM will celebrate its 14th National Convention and Exhibit this year called SUPPLYLINK 2006, with the theme “SUPPLY MANAGEMENT: MAKING A DIFFERENCE”.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from March 6 to 10, 2006 as Purchasing and Supply Chain Management Week.1aшphi1
