NAMING THE LOCATION OF THE BEDROOM USED BY PRESIDENT DIOSDADO MACAPAGAL AS THE MACAPAGAL ROOM

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 2 dated May 6, 1998 by the National Historical Institute and Presidential Decree No. 260 dated August 1, 1973, declared Malacañang Palace a National Historical Landmarks;

WHEREAS, every past administration in the country reflects a particular period in our nation’s rich history; and

WHEREAS, it is only fitting and proper that Malacañang Palace, residence and office of the President of the Philippines should recognize the historic connection past presidents have with Malacañang Palace.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the authority vested in me by law, do hereby name the location of the bedroom in Malacañang Palace used by President Diosdado Macapagal, as the Macapagal Room, in recognition of the historic value of the room in which he stayed, thereby serving as a tangible reminder of President Diosdado Macapagal’s administration.ℒαwρhi৷

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
