DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM SEPTEMBER 15 TO 19, 2003, AS "PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT WEEK"

WHEREAS, the Production Management Association of the Philippines (PROMAP), a non-partisan and non-stock organization was established to promote industrial development through better and more efficient management of the production systems;

WHEREAS, PROMAP will be holding the 16th National Convention to be held at the New World Renaissance Hotel, Pasay Road, Makati City on September 18-19, 2003;

WHEREAS, there is a need to focus national attention on the important role production executives play in the development of the economy as well as in the manufacturing sector.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from September 15 to 19, 2003, as "Production Management Week" under the auspices of the Production Management Association of the Philippines.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
