DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM SEPTEMBER 8 TO 14, 1997, AS “PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT WEEK”

WHEREAS, the Production Management Association of the Philippines (PROMAP) is a non-profit, non-partisan, and non-stock organization established and committed to promote industrial development through better and more efficient management of the production system;

WHEREAS, PROMAP will be holding the 10th National Convention on September 11 to 12, 1997, in Manila, with the theme: “MANUFACTURING STRATEGIES FOR GLOBAL COMPETITIVENESS: TODAY AND THE NEXT MILLENNIUM”;

WHEREAS, there is a need to focus national attention on the important role production executives play in the development of our economy;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from September 8 to 14, 1997, as “Production Management Week”.
