DECLARING FRIDAY, JULY 4, 1997 AS PHILIPPINE RETIREMENT AUTHORITY DAY

WHEREAS, the Philippine Retirement Authority celebrates on Friday, July 4, 1997, its 12th year of continuous promotion of and leadership in the retirement industry;

WHEREAS, PRA banners its effective partnership with both government and private agencies as the backbone of its impressive achievements through the years;

WHEREAS, in view of these achievements, PRA has placed the Philippines in its current rank as the No. 1 Retirement Destination in the World for the year 1996;

WHEREAS, PRA can now celebrate this years anniversary with a resounding theme and challenge for “Sustaining A Record of Excellence”;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Friday, July 4, 1997, as “Philippine Retirement Authority Day”. All departments, agencies and instrumentalities, including government-owned and controlled corporations, are hereby directed to continue to lend full support and cooperation in its endeavors at promoting the Philippines as a retirement haven for foreign nationals and overseas, as well as former, Filipinos.1aшphi1
