DECLARING APRIL 24 TO 28, 1995, AS ASEAN PORT AUTHORITIES ASSOCIATION (APAA) SPORTS WEEK

WHEREAS, the Philippines, as a bona fide member of ASEAN Port Authorities Association (APAA), is slated to host the APAA Technical Committee meeting and the 5th APAA Bi-Annual Sports Meet;

WHEREAS, this Bi-Annual APAA Sports Competition is an occasion that will serve as an opportunity to further strengthen the bond of friendship and solidarity among ASEAN countries;

WHEREAS, the hosting of the 5th APAA Sports Meet, which is expected to foster the value of sportsmanship and promote physical fitness, is in line with the governments sports development program;

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper to focus public attention on the role being played by APAA member countries towards development in global shipping;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare April 24 to 28, 1995 as APAA Sports Week.1aшphi1

All government agencies, and public and private institutions are urged to give full support to this event and to extend the necessary assistance in terms of facilities, equipment and attendance.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
