DECLARING A STATE OF CALAMITY IN THE PROVINCES OF BATANGAS, CAVITE, LAGUNA, QUEZON, MARINDUQUE AND CAMARINES NORTE AND THE CITIES OF BATANGAS, LIPA, CAVITE, TAGAYTAY, TRECE MARTIREZ, SAN PABLO, LUCENA, IRIGA AND THE MUNICIPALITIES OF ABUYOG AND MANAPLAG IN LEYTE.

I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declared a state of calamity in the province of Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Quezon, Marinduque and Camarines Norte and the cities of Batangas, Lipa, Cavite, Tagaytay, Trece Martirez, San Pablo, Lucena, Iriga and the municipalities of Abuyog and Manaplag in Leyte, as recommended by the National Disaster Coordinating Council, due to the adverse effects of Typhoon “Monang”.ℒαwρhi৷

All departments and other government agencies concerned are hereby directed to implement and execute relief and rehabilitation work in accordance with existing operational plans and directives and orders issued in connection with calamities.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
