DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM DECEMBER 6 TO 12, 1993 AS THE NATIONAL SOCIAL SCIENCE WEEK

WHEREAS, the National Social Science Congress III will be held on December 9 to 12, 1993, with the objective of bringing together social scientists to focus on the theme “Empowerment and Accountability in Sustainable Development: Towards Theory Building in the Social Sciences;”

WHEREAS, the Social Scientists who have gathered field data and Social Scientists involved in the development progress of the government should now get together and focus on theoretical considerations based on their work on sustainable development;

WHEREAS, there is a need to provide a forum for Social Scientists to discuss issues of national concern and to focus public attention on the significant role that the social scientists play in sustainable development;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the power vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from December 6 to 12, 1993, as the National Social Science Week.ℒαwρhi৷

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
