DECLARING THE EXISTENCE OF A STATE OF CALAMITY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF KALINGALAN CALUANG, PROVINCE OF SULU

WHEREAS, according to the Secretary of National Defense, as Chairman of the National Disaster Coordinating Council, The Municipality of Kalingalan Caluang, Province of Sulu, was adversely affected by the intermittent armed conflict between two warring clans thereat;

WHEREAS, the declaration of a state of calamity is necessary for the immediate implementation of the rehabilitation program in the area;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law do hereby declare the existence of a state of calamity in the Municipality of Kalingalan Caluang, Province of Sulu.ℒαwρhi৷

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
