ESTABLISHING AS ADLAY WATERSHED FOREST RESERVE FOR PURPOSES OF PROTECTION, MAINTENANCE AND IMPROVEMENT OF ITS WATER YIELD AND TO PROVIDE RESTRAINING MECHANISM FOR INAPPROPRIATE FOREST EXPLOITATION AND DISRUPTIVE LAND-USE A CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN SITUATED IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CARRASCAL, PROVINCE OF SURIGAO DEL SUR, ISLAND OF MINDANAO
Upon recommendation of the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources and pursuant to the powers vested in me by law, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby withdraw from entry, sale, disposition, or settlement and set aside as Adlay Watershed Forest Reserve, subject to private rights, if any there be, and to the operations of previous proclamations reserving any portion thereof for specific purposes, and to the implementation of socially-oriented projects and other forestry development programs consistent with the objectives of the proclamation as may be determined by the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources, a certain parcel of land of the public domain located in the Municipality of Carrascal, Province of Surigao del Sur, as shown in the Forest Management Bureau Map No. 109 with the following descriptions:
Beginning at corner “1” on the map is cm. dia. mancono at the South bank of Marga River and about 545 meters from the junction of Marga River and a tributary;
Thence following Marga River downstream in a Northeast, Southeast direction, 694 meters to corner 2, Duyok-duyok, 50 cms. diameter;
Thence S 31° W., 375 meters to corner 3, Apitong, 30 cms. diameter;
Thence S 30° W., 115 meters to corner 4, Yakal, 20 cms. diameter;
Thence Due West, 235 meters to corner 5, Red Lauan, 20 cms. diameter;
Thence S. 40° W., 160 meters to corner 6, Red Lauan, 15 cms. diameter;
Thence N 17° W., 183 meters to corner 7, Red Lauan, 24 cms. diameter;
Thence N 33° E, 650 meters to corner 1, the point of beginning, containing an area of TWENTY SEVEN (27) HECTARES, more or less.ℒαwρhi৷
The area covered by the reservation shall be under the administrative jurisdiction, supervision and control of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources through its Forest Management Bureau in coordination with other agencies of the government with the objective of maintaining its usefulness as a source of water for domestic use and other forestry purposes.
