DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM 8 TO 14 NOVEMBER 1993 AS “NATIONAL HOG RAISERS WEEK”

WHEREAS, the National Hog Raisers Group, Inc. (NHRGI) is the biggest umbrella organization of hog raisers, counting among its members swine associations in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao and backyard hog raisers from all over the country;

WHEREAS, all hog raisers nationwide will converge in Cebu City for the 3rd National Hog Raisers Convention to be held from 11 to 13 November 1993 under the auspices of the NHRGI; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to focus national attention on the vital role played by the hog raising sector in accelerating the development of the livestock industry;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from 8 to 14 November 1993 as “National Hog Raisers Week.”
