DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 7 TO 13, 1993, AS “CIVIL ENGINEERING WEEK”

WHEREAS, the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Inc. (PICE) is an association of Civil Engineers, both in the government and private sector, duly accredited by the Professional Regulation Commission;

WHEREAS, the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Inc. (PICE) will hold its annual national convention on November 11 to 13, 1993, in Manila;

WHEREAS, there is a need to focus public attention on the importance of the Civil Engineering profession and its role in nation-building;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from November 7 to 13, 1993, as “Civil Engineering Week” under the auspices of the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Inc. (PICE).ℒαwρhi৷

I call upon all civil engineers, educators and students to give the observance of the week their full support.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
