RESERVING FOR NATIONAL SHRINE SITE PURPOSES TO BE KNOWN AS “RICARTE NATIONAL SHRINE” A CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN SITUATED IN BARANGAY MALASIN, MUNICIPALITY OF BATAC, PROVINCE OF ILOCOS NORTE

Upon recommendation of the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources and pursuant to Republic Act No. 5648, dated June 21, 1989, and by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby withdraw from sale or settlement and reserve for national shrine purposes to be known as “Ricarte National Shrine” under the administrative jurisdiction of the Military Shrine Service, Philippine Veterans Affairs Office, a parcel of land of the public domain, identified as Lot No. 1377, Cad. 398, Batac Cadastre, containing an area of Six Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety Seven (6,997) square meters as well as the house built therein, where the late General Artemio Ricarte was born, situated in the Barangay of Malasin, Municipality of Batac, Province of Ilocos Norte, which parcel of land is more particularly described as follows, to wit:

A PARCEL OF LAND identified as Lot No. 1377, Cad. 398, situated in the Barangay of Malasin, Municipality of Batac, Province of Ilocos Norte. Beginning at a point marked “1” on plan being N. 37° 37" E., 320 meters from BLLM No. 1. Cad. 398, Batac Cadastre. Thence . . .

S. 60° 01" E. 43.18 meters to point 2;
S. 74° 23" E. 4.31 meters to point 3;
S. 61° 05" E. 30.09 meters to point 4;
S. 60° 31" E. 13.90 meters to point 5;
S. 28° 40" W. 77.20 meters to point 6;
N. 60° 28" W. 91.52 meters to point 7;
N. 28° 47" E. 76.16 meters to point of

beginning, containing an area of SIX THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED NINETY SEVEN (6,997) SQUARE METERS.ℒαwρhi৷
