DECLARING THE FOURTH WEEK OF JULY OF EVERY YEAR AS DIABETES AWARENESS WEEK

WHEREAS, the Philippine Center for Diabetes Education Foundation, Inc., is an organization dedicated to helping individuals suffering from diabetes and its complications;

WHEREAS, the Foundation has established a Diabetes Center where they teach health care professionals about diabetes;

WHEREAS, the Foundation will ultimately establish Diabetes Centers in all the far-flung barangays of the country;

WHEREAS, there is a need to educate the people on this dreaded disease;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the fourth week of July of every year as Diabetes Awareness Week.
