DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM JULY 24 TO 30, 1993 AS “ENTREPRENEURS WEEK”

WHEREAS, the Constitution recognizes the important role of Filipino entrepreneurs in our economic development by mandating, in Article XII, Section 10, Congress to “enact measures that will encourage the formation and operation of enterprises whose capital is wholly owned by Filipinos;”

WHEREAS, the Entrepreneurs Society of the Philippines, an association of entrepreneurs with the prime objective of encouraging entrepreneurship as a medium for personal and national economic development, has prepared activities for the period covering July 24 to 30, 1993 with the view to promoting this objective; and

WHEREAS, there is a need to focus national attention to the invaluable contribution of entrepreneurs to the countrys economic development.ℒαwρhi৷

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from July 24 to 30, 1993 as “Entrepreneurs Week” under the auspices of the Entrepreneurs Society of the Philippines in coordination with the Department of Trade and Industry.

DONE in the City of Manila, this 22nd day of July, in the year of Our Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Ninety-Three.
