DECLARING A STATE OF PUBLIC CALAMITY IN GENERAL SANTOS CITY

I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare, upon the recommendation of the Chairman, National Disaster Coordinating Council, a state of public calamity in General Santos City which has been severely affected by torrential rains and flash floods. I also hereby authorize the release of TWO MILLION PESOS (P2,000,000.00) chargeable against the Calamity Fund to support the on-going disaster operations being undertaken by the City Disaster Coordinating Council,
