DECLARING JULY 19, 1993 AS A SPECIAL DAY IN DIGOS, DAVAO DEL SUR TO COMMEMORATE THE FOUNDING ANNIVERSARY OF DIGOS AS CAPITAL TOWN OF DAVAO DEL SUR

WHEREAS, the founding anniversary of Digos as the capital town of Davao del Sur falls on July 19;

WHEREAS, the residents of Digos desire to celebrate with fitting ceremonies this milestone in the history of their municipality; and

WHEREAS, Section 27, Chapter 7, Book I of the Administrative Code of 1987 authorizes the President to proclaim a local special day for a particular date, group or place;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare July 19, 1993 as a Special Day in Digos, Davao del Sur.
