DECLARING 15 JULY 1993 AS A SPECIAL DAY IN THE ENTIRE CORDILLERA ADMINISTRATIVE REGION

WHEREAS, 15 July 1993, Thursday, marks the 6th founding anniversary of the Cordillera Administrative Region;

WHEREAS, the significance of this event should be accorded with appropriate recognition since it was on this day that the Cordillera people secured their demand for administrative decentralization, which they have been struggling to achieve for more than half a century; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the residents in the region, various cultural communities and other sectors be given full opportunity to celebrate said anniversary with appropriate ceremonies and activities.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by Section 27, Chapter 7, Book I of the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare 15 July 1993, Thursday, as a Special Day in the entire Cordillera Administrative Region. The provisions of any proclamation or executive issuance inconsistent herewith is hereby amended or modified accordingly.ℒαwρhi৷
