AUTHORIZING THE YOUNG MENS CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION (YMCA) OF MANILA TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN FOR A PERIOD OF SIX (6) MONTHS

WHEREAS, the YMCA of Manila is a non-stock and non-profit civic organization whose purposes include the promotion of understanding among peoples of all faiths to the end that the brotherhood of men under the Fatherhood of one Supreme Being may be fostered in an atmosphere of mutual respect and understanding;

WHEREAS, the YMCA has pursued laudable programs of character-building and citizenship-training among the youth or our land;

WHEREAS, with its continuous training programs and the opportunities for leadership that it has given to many of its youth members over the years, the YMCA of Manila has exerted and continues to exert influence in the development of a responsible citizenry imbued with a deep sense of social consciousness; and

WHEREAS, its limited income resources cannot adequately cope with its present program thrusts for the development of the youth of our land to prepare them to become productive citizens.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the YMCA of Manila to conduct a national fund campaign for a period of six (6) months from 1 July to 31 December 1993.ℒαwρhi৷
