DECLARING A PERIOD OF NATIONAL MOURNING OVER THE DEATH OF FORMER VICE PRESIDENT FERNANDO H. LOPEZ

WHEREAS, the death of former Vice President Fernando H. Lopez, a nationalist and statesman, is a great loss to our people and has caused deep sorrow among them;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby proclaim a period of national mourning beginning May 27, 1993 for our beloved Fernando H. Lopez and to continue up to the date of interment. During this period, flags of all government buildings and installations throughout the country shall be flown at half mast.ℒαwρhi৷

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 27th day of May, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and ninety-three.
