DECLARING A STATE OF PUBLIC CALAMITY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF APARRI, CAGAYAN

I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare, upon the recommendation of the Chairman, National Disaster Coordinating Council, a state of public calamity in the Municipality of Aparri, Cagayan which has been adversely affected by harsh weather, specifically by a severe cold spell, which has reportedly killed at least twenty-five (25) people. I also hereby authorize the release from the calamity fund of One Million Pesos (P1,000,000.00) to support the on-going relief operations being undertaken by the National Disaster Coordinating Council.ℒαwρhi৷
