DECLARING 2 MARCH OF EACH YEAR A SPECIAL DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CABATUAN, ILOILO TO COMMEMORATE THE BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF TOMAS CONFESOR

WHEREAS, the people of Cabatuan, Iloilo have traditionally observed 2 March of every year to commemorate the birthday of the late Tomas Confesor;

WHEREAS, they have requested the President, through Congressman Licurgo P. Tirador of the 3rd District of Iloilo, to declare the same date of each year a special non-working holiday;

WHEREAS, it is proper for the residents of the Municipality of Cabatuan to commemorate the birth anniversary of Tomas Confesor and to be given an opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies so that they may better reflect on and emulate his noble deeds and patriotism;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the 2nd day of March of every year as a special non-working day in the Municipality of Cabatuan, Iloilo.ℒαwρhi৷
