[ Proclamation No. 141, February 10, 1993 ]

DECLARING THE EXISTENCE OF A STATE OF CALAMITY IN THE PROVINCE OF SOUTHERN LEYTE

WHEREAS, continuous heavy rains flooded and overflowed the river banks affecting ten (10) municipalities in the area;

WHEREAS, to facilitate the normalization of conditions in the flood-stricken areas, the National Disaster Coordinating Council recommends the declaration of a state of calamity in the Province of Southern Leyte.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the existence of a state of calamity in the Province of Southern Leyte.ℒαwρhi৷

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 10th day of February in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and ninety three.
