DECLARING A STATE OF PUBLIC CALAMITY IN THE PROVINCES OF AGUSAN DEL NORTE AND SURIGAO DEL NORTE AND IN SURIGAO CITY

I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare, upon the recommendation of the Chairman, National Disaster Coordinating Council, a state of public calamity in the Provinces of Agusan del Norte and Surigao del Norte and in Surigao City which have been severely affected by torrential rains and heavy flooding. I also hereby authorize the release from the calamity fund of Two Million Pesos (P2,000,000.00) for the Province of Agusan del Norte, Two Million Pesos (P2,000,000.00) for the Province of Surigao del Norte, and One Million Pesos (P1,000,000.00) for Surigao City to support the on-going disaster operations being undertaken by their respective Provincial and City Disaster Coordinating Councils.ℒαwρhi৷
