DECLARING THE THIRD WEEK OF JANUARY OF EVERY YEAR AS PHILIPPINE KIWANIS WEEK

WHEREAS, every January, Kiwanis worldwide celebrate its Foundation Anniversary;

WHEREAS, in the Philippines, Kiwanians during this week undertake different civic projects in their areas, such as “Mini Olympic Games for Retarded Children,” Medical and Dental Missions, Bloodletting, and other community projects;

WHEREAS, there is a need to focus national attention on the laudable objectives and projects of the Kiwanians in the Philippines.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the third week of January of every year as PHILIPPINES KIWANIS WEEK.ℒαwρhi৷

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
