ESTABLISHING AS THE LAKE LANAO WATERSHED RESERVATION FOR PURPOSES OF PROTECTING, MAINTAINING AND IMPROVING ITS FOREST COVER AND WATER YIELD FOR HYDROPOWER, IRRIGATION AND DOMESTIC USE A PARCEL OF LAND OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN LOCATED IN THE MUNICIPALITIES OF DITSAAN-RAMAIN, BUBONG, BUADIPUSO-BUNTONG, MOLUNDO, TARAKA, MAGUING, TAMPARAN, LUMBA-BAYABAO, POONA-BAYABAO, MASIU, BUTEG, LUMBATAN, LUMBAYANAGUI, BAYANG, BINIDAYAN, GANASSI, PUALAS, MADALUM, MADAMBA, BACOLOD GRANDE, TUGAYA, BALINDONG, MARANTAO, PIAGAPO, SAGUIARAN AND MARAWI CITY ALL OF THE PROVINCE OF LANAO DEL SUR, ISLAND OF MINDANAO

Upon the recommendation of the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources and pursuant to the powers vested in me by law, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, do hereby withdraw from entry, sale, disposition or settlement and set aside as the Lake Lanao Watershed Forest Reserve, subject to private rights, if any there be, and to the operations of previous proclamations reserving any portion thereof for specific purposes and to the implementation of socially-oriented projects and other forestry development programs consistent with the objectives of this proclamation as may be determined by the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources, a parcel of land of the public domain situated in the municipalities of Ditsaan-Ramain, Bubong, Buadipuso-Bontong, Molundo, Taraka, Maguing, Tamparan, Lumba-Bayabao, Poona-Bayabao Masiu, Buteg, Lumbatan, Lumbayanagui, Bayang, Binidayan, Ganassi, Pualas, Madalum, Madamba, Bacolod Grande, Tigaya, Balindog, Marantao, Piagapo, Saguiaran and Marawi City, all of the Province of Lanao del Sur, Island of Mindanao, as shown in the attached proposed Lake Lanao Watershed Forest Reserve Map No. 104, with the following description:

Beginning at point “1” on the map is a point latitude 8 degrees 03 minutes and 31.31 seconds and longitude 124 degrees 15 minutes and 58.19 seconds at the bank of Agus River:

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources shall administer and manage the reservation in coordination with the other agencies of the Government with the objective of maintaining its usefulness as a source of water for the generation of hydro-electric power, agricultural requirements and other purposes.
