[ Proclamation No. 67, October 13, 1992 ]

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 1 TO 7, 1992, AS “CIVIL ENGINEERING WEEK”

WHEREAS, the government recognizes the important role of civil engineers in nation-building;

WHEREAS, the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Inc. (PICE) will hold its annual national convention on November 3 to 5, 1992, in Manila, with the theme “Strengthening The Nation Thru Better Infrastructures”;

WHEREAS, there is a need to focus public attention on the importance of the Civil Engineering profession and its role in nation-building;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from November 1 to 7, 1992, as “Civil Engineering Week” under the auspices of the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Inc. (PICE).

I call upon all civil engineers, educators and students to give the observance of the week their full support.1aшphi1
