[ Proclamation No. 45, September 11, 1992 ]

AMENDING PROCLAMATION NO. 41 DATED SEPTEMBER 9, 1992 DECLARING A STATE OF PUBLIC CALAMITY IN THE PROVINCES OF BATAAN, PANGASINAN, LA UNION, NUEVA VIZCAYA AND THE CITIES OF BAGUIO, DAGUPAN AND OLONGAPO WHICH WERE HEAVILY AFFECTED BY TROPICAL DEPRESSION “GLORING” AND “HUANING” AND TROPICAL STORM “ISING,” TO INCLUDE MT. PROVINCE.

WHEREAS, the recent series of typhoons had isolated the whole of Mt. Province. The latest report confirms eleven (11) deaths and many more missing persons due to massive landslides and soaring river currents; and

WHEREAS, the Baguio-Bontoc Road which is the access route of fuel from San Fernando, La Union, the Mt. Province-Ilocos Sur Road and the Mt. Province-Vizcaya Road which are access for food supply had been closed;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby amend Proclamation No. 41 dated September 9, 1992 declaring a state of public calamity in the above-mentioned provinces and cities, to include therein Mt. Province which is also heavily affected by the recent series of typhoons.1aшphi1
