[ Proclamation No. 654, October 10, 1990 ]

DECLARING FRIDAY, OCTOBER 12, 1990, AS A SPECIAL HOLIDAY IN ZAMBOANGA CITY

WHEREAS, the celebration of the traditional Feast of Nuestra Señora del Pilar, the Patroness of Zamboanga City, falls on Friday, October 12, 1990;

WHEREAS, both Christians and Muslims alike in Zamboanga City celebrate this feast with fitting religious and non-religious activities;

WHEREAS, in order to give opportunity to the people thereat to celebrate properly the Feast of Nuestra Señora del Pilar, it is but proper that the same be declared as a special day in said city;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Friday, October 12, 1990, as a special day in Zamboanga City;

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.ℒαwρhi৷
