AUTHORIZING THE YOUNG MENS CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION (YMCA) OF THE PHILIPPINES TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN FOR THE PERIOD FROM JULY 1, 1990 TO DECEMBER 31, 1990

WHEREAS, the YMCA of the Philippines is a non-stock and non-profit civic organization whose purpose includes the promotion of understanding among peoples of all faiths, to the end that the brotherhood of men under the fatherhood of God may be fostered in an atmosphere of mutual respect and understanding;

WHEREAS, the YMCA has pursued a laudable program of character building and citizenship training among the youth of our land;

WHEREAS, with its continuous training program and the opportunities for leadership it has given to many of its youth members over the years, the YMCA of the Philippines has exerted and continues to exert influence in the development of a responsible citizenry imbued with a deep sense of social consciousness;

WHEREAS, its meager income and limited resources cannot adequately cope up with its present program thrusts for the development of the youth of our land and prepare them for better citizenship;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the YMCA of the Philippines to conduct a national fund campaign for the period from July 1, 1990 to December 31, 1990.ℒαwρhi৷

For this purpose, all donations, bequests, gifts received by the YMCA of the Philippines for the implementation of its programs and activities shall be free from all forms of taxes and shall be deductible in full from the income of the donor for purposes of computing his income tax liability, subject to the pertinent provisions of the National Internal Revenue Code, as amended.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
