AMENDING PROCLAMATION NO. 416, DATED MAY 30, 1989

WHEREAS, Proclamation No. 416, dated May 30, 1989, declared the month of June 1989 as “National Organ Donation Awareness Month”;

WHEREAS, there is a need to declare the month of June of every year as “National Organ Donation Awareness Month” to encourage organ donation and increase public awareness of the need for such donation;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby amend Proclamation No. 416, dated May 30, 1989, by declaring the month of June of every year as “National Organ Donation Awareness Month” under the auspices of the National Kidney Institute.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.ℒαwρhi৷
