DECLARING SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 1988, AS PROVINCE OF SIQUIJOR DAY.

WHEREAS, Saturday, September 17, 1988, marks the political independence of the Province of Siquijor; and

WHEREAS, the residents of Siquijor should be afforded the opportunity to commemorate the event with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Saturday, September 17, 1988, as Province of Siquijor Day, a regular working day.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
