[ Proclamation No. 305, August 10, 1988 ]

DECLARING THE MONTH OF OCTOBER OF EVERY YEAR AS NATIONAL PRODUCTIVITY IMPROVEMENT MONTH

WHEREAS, Administrative Order No. 38, issued on September 30, 1987, has established the Government Productivity Improvement Program (GPIP) as a priority undertaking of the Government;

WHEREAS, there is a need to focus public attention on the development thrusts of the GPIP in enhancing overall productivity and coordinating programs, projects, and activities of both government and private sectors; and

WHEREAS, in pursuance of the objectives of the GPIP, the Third National Convention on Productivity in the Public Service will be held on October 6 and 7, 1988;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the month of October of every year as National Productivity Improvement Month.

Government offices, agencies and organizations are hereby enjoined to participate in the Third National Convention on Productivity in the Public Service to be held on October 6 and 7, 1988, in accordance with the guidelines to be embodied in a Memorandum Circular to be issued for the purpose.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
