[ Proclamation No. 252, April 21, 1988 ]

AUTHORIZING THE ALAY SA KAWAL FOUNDATION, INC., TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL EDUCATIONAL, MEMBERSHIP AND FUND CAMPAIGN FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR.

WHEREAS, the Alay sa Kawal Foundation, Inc., is a non-stock, non-profit entity organized by civilians for the purpose of extending financial assistance to families of enlisted men and non-commissioned officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines killed or permanently incapacitated in combat;

WHEREAS, the Foundation has proven to be an effective auxiliary to the Government in bringing about reconciliation and mutual respect between the civilians and the military by providing continuing financial assistance and moral boost to the soldiers and their families; and

WHEREAS, the laudable objective of the Foundation deserves the support of every civic-spirited citizen and resident of the Philippines;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Alay sa Kawal Foundation, Inc., to conduct a nationwide membership and fund campaign for a period of one year effective upon the promulgation of this Proclamation. I call upon all citizens and residents of the Philippines irrespective of race and creed to support the campaign.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
