DECLARING MONDAY, MARCH 2, 1987, AND EVERY YEAR THEREAFTER AS “SENATOR TOMAS CONFESSORS DAY” IN THE PROVINCE OF ILOILO.

WHEREAS, Monday, March 2, 1987, is the birth anniversary of the late Senator Tomas Confessor, a leader of the resistance movement in Panay and Romblon; and

WHEREAS, the people of Iloilo should be given the opportunity to celebrate the event with fitting ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Monday, March 2, 1987 and every year thereafter, as “Sen. Tomas Confessors Day” in the Province of Iloilo. The day, however, shall be a regular working and school day.1aшphi1
