DECLARING THE EXISTENCE OF A STATE OF PUBLIC CALAMITY IN THE PROVINCES OF BATAAN, QUEZON, CAVITE, BATANGAS, MARINDUQUE, ALBAY, SORSOGON, MASBATE, INCLUDING BURIAS ISLAND, CAMARINES SUR, LEYTE AND NORTHERN SAMAR.

WHEREAS, the provinces of Bataan, Quezon, Cavite, Batangas, Marinduque, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate, including Burias Island, Camarines Sur, Leyte and Northern Samar have suffered damages to crops, livestock and property caused by typhoon “Sisang”, which necessitates the declaration of a state of calamity in said provinces.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby proclaim that a state of calamity exists in the following areas in Central Luzon, Southern Tagalog, Bicol and Eastern Visayas: Bataan, Quezon, Cavite, Batangas, Marinduque, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate, including Burias Island, Camarines Sur, Leyte and Northern Samar.

All departments and other government agencies concerned are hereby directed to implement and execute relief and rehabilitation work in accordance with existing operational plans and directives and orders issued in connection with calamities.1aшphi1
