[ Proclamation No. 173, October 22, 1987 ]

DECLARING WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 1987, AS A SPECIAL DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF SAMAR.

WHEREAS, November 11, 1987, marks the 20th charter anniversary of the Province of Samar (Western Samar); and

WHEREAS, the people of Samar should be afforded the opportunity to celebrate this historic event with fitting ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare November 11, 1987, as a special day in the Province of Samar.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
