ESTABLISHING AS ALABAT WATERSHED FOREST RESERVE FOR PURPOSES OF PROTECTING, MAINTAINING, OR IMPROVING ITS WATER YIELD AND PROVIDING RESTRAINING MECHANISM FOR IMPROPER FOREST EXPLOITATION AND DISRUPTIVE LAND-USE, A CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN SITUATED IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF ALABAT, PROVINCE OF QUEZON, PHILIPPINES

Upon the recommendation of the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources and pursuant to the powers vested in me by law, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, do hereby withdraw from entry, sale, disposition or settlement and set aside for watershed and other ecological enhancement purposes, subject to private rights, if any there be, and to the operation of the previous proclamations reserving any portion thereof for specific purposes, the parcel of land of the public domain situated in the Municipality of Alabat, Province of Quezon, as shown in the Bureau of Forest Development Map No. W.R. – 70, with the following technical description:

Beginning at point “1” on the BFD Map No. 70, is a concrete monument, 25x30x56 centimeters, identical to corner 1 of G-1360 of S. Viaje;

The area covered by the reservation shall be under the administrative jurisdiction, supervision and control of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources through its appropriate agency in coordination with other agencies of the government with the objective of maintaining its usefulness as a source of water for agriculture and other forestry purposes.1aшphi1
