[ Proclamation No. 141, August 19, 1987 ]

DECLARING FRIDAY, AUGUST 21, 1987, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE SUB-PROVINCE OF GUIMARAS.

WHEREAS, the 21st anniversary foundation of the Sub-Province of Guimaras falls on August 21, 1987; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting that the people of the Sub-Province of Guimaras be given ample opportunity to celebrate the event with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Friday, August 21, 1987 as a special public holiday in the Sub-Province of Guimaras.
