DECLARING WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 19, 1987, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN AURORA PROVINCE, QUEZON PROVINCE AND THE CITY EMBRACED THEREIN (LUCENA CITY) AND QUEZON CITY.

WHEREAS, the 109th birth anniversary of the late President Manuel L. Quezon falls on Wednesday, August 19, 1987; and

WHEREAS, the people of Aurora Province, his birthplace, including Quezon Province and the city embraced therein (Lucena City) and Quezon City, should be given full opportunity to render homage to the memory of our illustrious leader, patriot, statesman and one of the ablest men this country has ever produced;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Wednesday, August 19, 1987, as a special public holiday in Aurora Province, Quezon Province and the city embraced therein (Lucena City) and Quezon City.
