[ Proclamation No. 128, July 6, 1987 ]

PROCLAIMING A STATE OF PUBLIC CALAMITY IN TINGLAYAN, KALINGA-APAYAO WHICH WAS HIT BY EARTHQUAKE ON JUNE 18, 1987.

WHEREAS, the earthquake which occurred in Tinglayan, Kalinga-Apayao on June 18, 1987, inflicted great damage to life and property in said municipality.

WHEREAS, a state of public calamity exists in the aforementioned municipality.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby proclaim that a state of public calamity exists in Tinglayan, Kalinga-Apayao.

All departments and other government agencies concerned are hereby directed to implement and execute relief and rehabilitation work in accordance with existing operational plans and the directive and order issued in connection with calamities.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
