[ Proclamation No. 110, May 28, 1987 ]

PROCLAIMING A STATE OF PUBLIC CALAMITY IN CERTAIN AREAS IN THE COUNTRY WHICH WERE AFFECTED BY THE DROUGHT.

WHEREAS, the recent drought has caused severe damage to agriculture in certain areas in the country;

WHEREAS, a state of public calamity exists in these drought-stricken areas;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby proclaim that a state of public calamity exists in the following areas in the country:

Region I	Pangasinan, La Union
Region II	Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino
Region III	Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, Zambales
Region IV	Quezon, Palawan, Marinduque, Romblon
Region V	Albay, Sorsogon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Masbate
Region VI	Negros Occidental, Antique, Iloilo
Region VII	Cebu, Negros Oriental, Bohol
Region VIII	Leyte, Northern Samar, Samar
Region IX	Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Basilan
Region X	Agusan del Sur, Agusan del Norte, Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental
Region XI	Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, South Cotabato, Davao Oriental
Region XII	Lanao del Sur, Lanao del Norte, North Cotabato, Maguindanao

The Secretary, Department of Agriculture is hereby directed to implement, rehabilitation and other work in accordance with existing operational plans and the directive and order issued in connection with calamities.
