DECLARING DECEMBER 1 TO 7, 1985 AS MINDANAO PRESS FREEDOM WEEK.

WHEREAS, the Mindanao Press and Radio-TV Association or MINPRA, Inc. will celebrate its Foundation Anniversary on the first week of December, 1985; and

WHEREAS, it is deemed fitting and proper to focus national attention on the vital role that the working press plays in the development of our country, particularly the ennobling influence of the men and women who compose the journalistic corps on the democratization of our national life.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from December 1 to 7, 1985 as Mindanao Press Freedom Week under the auspices of the Mindanao Press and Radio-TV Association (MINPRA, Inc.).
