DECLARING FRIDAY, AUGUST 9, 1985, AS ROQUE B. ABLAN, SR. DAY AND A SPECIAL NON-WORKING PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF ILOCOS NORTE AND IN THE CITY OF LAOAG.

In commemoration of the birth anniversary of the late Governor Roque B. Ablan, Sr. of Ilocos Norte, one of the outstanding resistance leaders during and last war who has displayed extraordinary courage against the enemy, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Friday, August 9, 1985, as Roque B. Ablan, Sr. Day and a special non-working public holiday in the province of Ilocos Norte and in the City of Laoag.
