DECLARING JUNE 24, 1985 AND EVERY YEAR THEREAFTER AS A SPECIAL NON-WORKING PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE CITY OF MANILA.

WHEREAS, every year the City of Manila celebrates June 24 as “Araw ng Maynila” marking the founding of the City as the premier Christian City of Asia; and

WHEREAS, the residents of Manila, conscious of the historical and cultural significance of the event, desire to celebrate the same with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare June 24, 1985 and every year thereafter, as a special non-working public holiday in the City of Manila.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
